An arrest warrant has been issued against former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa in connection with the Provident Fund (PF) scam. The warrant was announced by the area PF Commissioner Sadakshari Gopal Reddy, who has directed the Pulakeshnagar police to take necessary action.

Now Robin has been accused of deducting PF from the salary of company employees and not adding it to his account later. According to the report, the entire scam is said to be worth Rs 23 lakh.
Although the warrant was issued, no arrests have been made yet By writing a letter to Pulakeshnagar Police, Commissioner Gopal Reddy has said that this warrant will be implemented. On the other hand, Uthappa has changed his residence, due to which the police had to return this warrant to the PF office. After that, the police and PF department are investigating the former cricketer's residence. As this matter is related to the safety of the employees, it is being looked at seriously. Currently, both the police and the PF department are jointly investigating it.
Uthappa played his last match for Team India on 14 July 2015 against Zimbabwe.

Uthappa was a part of Team India in the 2007 T20 World Cup. India won that World Cup under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Robin was bowled out along with Sehwag and Harbhajan in the tied match against Pakistan, in which Team India won.
