Antigua Test- West Indies beat Bangladesh by 201 runs: 1-0 up in series; Justin Greaves, who scored a century, was named player of the match

The Bangladesh team had to face defeat by 201 runs in the first Test played on the West Indies tour. West Indies set a target of 334 runs to win Bangladesh in the match played in Antigua Test. Bangladesh team could score only 132 runs. The team's last batter retired hurt.

West Indies have taken a 1-0 lead over Bangladesh in the two-Test series.

West Indies scored 450 runs for nine wickets in the first innings, in response to which the Bangladesh team declared the innings by scoring 269 runs for nine wickets. Bangladesh bowlers dismissed West Indies for 152 runs in the second innings. Bangladesh batsmen also could not do anything special in the second innings and the whole team could score only 132 runs in the second innings.

The Bangladesh captain won the toss and decided to field first.

Greaves played an innings of 115 runs in the first innings Justin Greaves, making a comeback to the team after 10 months, scored 115 in the first innings for West Indies. West Indies made 450 runs for 9 wickets and declared the first innings. Apart from Greaves, Michael Lewis scored 97 runs off 218 balls and Alik Athanaz scored 90 runs off 130 balls.

For Bangladesh, Hasan Mahmood took 3 wickets and Taskin Ahmed and Mehdi Hasan Miraj took 2 wickets each. Taijul Islam got one wicket.

Half a century of Mominul Haq Bangladesh team scored 269 runs for 9 wickets and had to declare the first innings. Mominul Haq scored a half century. He scored 50 runs off 116 balls. Alzari Joseph took 3 wickets and Jaden Seals took 2 wickets.

Taskin took 6 wickets in the second innings In the second innings, Taskin Ahmed took 6 wickets and played an important role in helping West Indies reach 152 runs. Apart from that, Mehdi Hasan Miraj took 2 wickets. While Shoriful Islam and Taijul Islam took 1 wicket each. Alik Athanaz scored the highest 42 runs in the second innings from West Indies. Apart from him, no batsman could score more than 40 runs.

At the same time, Bangladesh's batsmen could not capitalize on the success of the bowlers and could only manage 132 runs in the second innings. Mehdi Hasan Miraz was the highest scorer for Bangladesh with 45 runs.

Taskin Ahmed played an important role by taking 6 wickets to bowl out West Indies' second innings for 152 runs.
