Nitish Reddy plays domestic cricket for Andhra Pradesh.
The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) will award a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh to Nitish Reddy, who made India's comeback by scoring a century in the Melbourne Test. On Saturday, Nitish scored the first century of his career. He scored 114 runs.
ACA president Kasineni Shivanath said, 'This is a happy moment for the Andhra Cricket Association. Andhra's Nitish has been doing well for India in Tests and T20s. As an honour, Nitish is being given a prize money of Rs 25 lakh.'
Nitish added 127 runs for the eighth wicket with all-rounder Washington Sundar.
One of the greatest innings in history: Gavaskar With the help of 21-year-old Reddy's century, India scored 358 runs for the loss of 9 wickets on the third day. Reddy, who performed well throughout the series, also played a brilliant innings in the fourth Test. His innings has been described by former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar as one of the greatest Test innings in India's Test history.

In the second innings too, he played a quick unbeaten innings of 38 runs. He scored 42-42 in both innings of the Adelaide Test. Nitish has scored 284 runs in 6 innings of this series and is the highest run scorer for India in the series.
