Shaun Williams then shared a 73-run partnership with captain Irwin to take the score to 220. Williams was dismissed after scoring 49 runs.
Irwin was also dismissed for 75 in the end and the team's score reached 243 runs. Rashid Khan took 4 wickets from Afghanistan. Ahmedzai got 3 wickets and Fareed Ahmed got 2 wickets. Zia-ur-Rehman was also successful.

Ismat scored a century, he was dismissed for 101 runs. The team scored 363 runs in the second innings and Zimbabwe got a target of 278 runs. Blessing Muzarabani took 6 wickets from Zimbabwe. Richard Nagarwa got 3 wickets and Sikandar Raza got 1 wicket.
