Afghanistan beat Zimbabwe by 50 runs in 2nd T20I: Rashid-Naveen take 3 wickets each; Series tied 1-1, third match tomorrow

Afghanistan beat Zimbabwe by 50 runs in the second T20I. Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat at the Harare Sports Club on Friday. The team scored 153 runs by losing 6 wickets. In reply, the home team was all out for 103 runs.

Zimbabwe won the first T20 match by 4 wickets. Now after the result of the second match, the series is tied at 1-1. The third T20 will be played in Harare on Saturday from 5 pm.

Rasuli scored a fifty After winning the toss and batting first, the Afghanistan team got off to a poor start. The team lost 3 wickets for just 33 runs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 11 runs, Sediqullah Atal scored 18 runs and Zubed Akbari scored 1 run. Darwish Rasooli and Azmatullah Omarzai took over from here.

Rasooli and Omarzai put on a 50+ run partnership, taking both teams' scores to 86 runs. Here Omarzai got out after scoring 28 runs. After that Mohammad Nabi could also score only 4 runs. Rasuli was dismissed for 58 runs and took the team close to 150.

Darvish Rasooli scored 58 runs. He received the player of the match award for this performance.

Burle took 2 wickets In the end Gulbuddin Naib scored 26 runs and the score reached 153 runs. Ryan Burl and Trevor Gwandu took 2 wickets each for Zimbabwe. Blessing Muzrabani got 1 wicket, while a batter was run out.

Apart from Raza-Bennett, none played from Zimbabwe Against a target of 154 runs, Zimbabwe got off to a poor start. The team lost 5 wickets for 57 runs. Brian Bennett scored 27 runs off 26 balls, but the rest of the batsmen could not score more than 10 runs. Captain Sikandar Raza scored 35 off 30 balls, but he was left alone at one end.

With Raza out in the 17th over, the team was bundled out for 103 in the 18th over. Tashinga Musekiwa scored 13 runs, the rest of the batsmen could not do anything special. Rashid Khan and Naveen ul Haq took 3 wickets each for Afghanistan. Mujeeb ur Rehman got 2 wickets, while Omarzai and Fareed Malik got 1 each.

Afghanistan bowled out Zimbabwe in 18 overs.

Zimbabwe won the first T20 on the last ball The first T20 between the two teams was played in Harare on 11 December. Afghanistan scored 144 runs for the loss of 6 wickets after batting first. In reply, Zimbabwe scored 11 runs in the 20th over to win by 4 wickets.
