Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh has won the World Chess Championship title. He became the youngest player in the world to achieve such a feat, at just 18 years of age. He defeated defending champion Ding Liren of China in the 14th game. With this the score became 7.5-6.5 and Gukesh became the champion.
In the 13th game of the World Chess Championship on Wednesday, Gukesh had to play a draw after 68 moves. Then the score was tied at 6.5-6.5. Gukesh won the third, 11th and 14th games. While Liren won the first and 12th games. All the remaining matches were draws.
Tears came from Gukesh's eyes as he became the chess champion. He started crying a lot.

Who is De Gukesh? Gukesh's full name is Dommaraju Gukesh and he is a resident of Chennai. Gukesh was born on 7 May 2006 in Chennai. He started playing chess at the age of 7. He was initially coached by Bhaskar Nagaiah.
Nagaiah has been an international level chess player and home chess tutor in Chennai. After this Viswanathan Anand gave Gukesh information about the game as well as coaching. Gukesh's father is a doctor and mother is a microbiologist by profession.
