Triumph Daytona 660 Launched in India at ₹9.72 Lakh: Powerful 660cc 3-cylinder engine competes with Kawasaki Ninja 650 in middleweight sport bike

Triumph Motorcycles today (August 29) launched the middleweight sport bike Triumph Daytona 660 in the Indian market. The British brand that makes premium bikes has kept its ex-showroom price at Rs 9.72 lakh. In India, it competes with Kawasaki Ninja 650 (Price- ₹ 7.16 lakh) and Aprilia RS 660 (Price- ₹ 17.74 lakh). The company launched this bike in the global market in January this year and bookings have also started recently. Performance: 660cc engine with slip and assist clutch For performance, the Triumph Daytona 660 features a 660cc liquid-cooled, in-line 3-cylinder 12 valve engine that generates 94hp of power at 11,250rpm and 69Nm of torque at 8,250rpm. Triumph also states that the bike starts making 80% of peak torque at 3,150rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. The bike gets a 2-way quickshifter and a traction control system with 2 riding modes – Rain and Road. Design: Design inspired by the older model Dayton 675 Triumph had earlier launched this bike in India as the Dayton 675, but discontinued it due to stringent emission norms. Now it is introduced as Daytona 660. Its front fascia design is an updated version of the older model 675. The 2024 Triumph Daytona 660 is a premium balanced sports bike, designed for both performance and comfort. This gives the bike a better feel both on the city ride and on the track. The Daytona 660 has been introduced in three color combinations. These include Satin Granite + Satin Jet Black, Carnival Red + Sapphire Black and Snowdonia White + Sapphire Black color combinations.
