The festive season is expected to see many new car launches in the next few months. Recently, Toyota expanded its manufacturing facility in Bidadi, Karnataka to meet the demand. Soon the company may also launch a powerful version of the Toyota Fortuner mild hybrid. Toyota launched the Fortuner mild-hybrid model in the international market earlier this year. This new 48V system comes with a 2.8-litre diesel engine. Due to the changes made to the diesel engine, its power will increase from 201 Bhp to 217 Bhp and 550 Nm. The new Fortuner may be launched before the end of the year Toyota has not given any information about the launch of the new Fortuner MHEV in the Indian market. That being said, the Ford Endeavor could be relaunched in the country before the end of this year, so Toyota could introduce the SUV in late 2024 or early 2025. Talking about the price, the Toyota Fortuner Mild Hybrid can start from Rs 40 lakh and go up to Rs 53 lakh in Mumbai. The new Toyota Fortuner MHEV was first launched in South Africa, followed by other international markets. No changes have been made to the exterior design of this new model. It is expected that these features will be seen in this SUV of Toyota that Toyota may make some cosmetic changes to freshen up the design of this SUV. As for the interior, it may also include new technologies like 360-degree camera, large touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated seats and ADAS. Overall, the new Toyota Fortuner MHEV is going to be an updated powerful SUV in the Indian market. With new features and possible design updates, this SUV could prove to be strong not only in terms of performance but also in terms of technology.
