Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the facelift model of its popular sedan Camry on December 11. The new generation Toyota Camry is offered only in a feature loaded variant and is priced at Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
The price of the new Toyota Camry is Rs. 1.83 lakh more, costing Rs. 46.17 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can book the sedan online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Its delivery has been started. The Toyota Camry competes directly with the Skoda Superb in India. The Camry will be brought to India via the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route.
This is the ninth generation model of the Camry, introduced with a new design, new interior layout, new comfort features, updated powertrain and Advanced Driving Assist System (ADAS) safety features. The car has a next-generation hybrid system, which the company claims will deliver a mileage of 25kmpl.

Exterior 18-inch alloy wheels and a new design grille The ninth generation Toyota Camry is based on the TNGA-K platform. It is used in many Toyota and Lexus cars such as the Alphard, Sienna, Venza, Lexus ES and Lexus RX. Talking about the design, it is designed on the new design theme of the company and looks quite futuristic.
The front of the car features newly designed slim LED headlights with angular C-shaped DRLs. Between the two headlamps is a honeycomb-patterned dual-tone grille, painted in body color, that extends to the bottom of the car. Apart from this, there are sharp bonnet creases and air ducts on the bumper.
The side profile gets 18-inch alloy wheels and from the side it is largely the same as before. At the rear, it gets new design C-shaped LED tail lights and 'Camry' badging in between. It has a 'Toyota' logo on the boot lid with an integrated spoiler and a black finish on the lower part of the rear bumper which gives it a rugged look.
Interior: 12.3-inch digital driver display The cabin of the new generation Toyota Camry has a dual tone brown and black theme. Up front is a newly designed three-layer dashboard, which will have a new steering wheel, 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. The car's dashboard extends to the center console, where there are gloss black elements and gear lever, electronic parking brake and Front armrest is provided.
Apart from this, the new Camry gets head-up display (HUD), 3-zone climate control AC, nine-speaker JBL audio system, wireless phone charger, 360-degree camera, retractable sunshade, wireless upper CarePlay/Android Auto, single-pane sunroof and 10-way powered adjustable front seats with heated lumbar support and ventilator support are provided. The rear seat also has a reclining and ventilation function.

Performance: 2.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine The new Toyota Camry is powered by an updated 2.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, mated to the company's fifth-generation hybrid system THS 5. It has a 100kW permanent magnet synchronous motor with lithium ion battery.
Together, these two generate 230hp of power and 221Nm of peak torque. The engine is tuned with an e-CVT gearbox for transmission. The company claims that this car will run 25.49 kilometers on one liter of petrol. Eco, Normal and Sport driving modes are provided to drive this front wheel drive (FWD) car.
Safety Features: 3.0 Advanced Driving Assist System For safety, the new Camry features Toyota's Safety Sense 3.0 Advanced Driving Assist System (ADAS) suite. It has features like pre-collision assist with pedestrian passenger detection, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, road sign recognition, automatic high beam. Other safety features include 9 airbags, front and rear parking sensors and a 360 degree camera.
