Tata Motors has introduced the Ultra EV 7M electric bus at its launch event 'Pravas 4.0'. The Tata Ultra EV 7M has seating for 21 passengers and the company says it has been designed to handle congested city roads and narrow lanes. Besides the Ultra EV 7M, Tata Motors introduced a series of commercial passenger vehicles in various segments. These include Tata Magna, Tata Magic ev, Tata Magic Bi-Fuel, Tata Ultra Prime CNG, Tata CT Ride Prime and Tata LPO 1822. The e-bus will be fully charged in 2.5 hours The Tata Ultra EV 7M electric bus has a 213kW electric motor for performance. To power the electric motor, a 200kWh Li-ion battery will be available. This battery is IP67-rated. The company claims that the bus will run 160KM on a single full charge. The bus supports fast charging, so it can be fully charged in just 2.5 hours. Talking about safety features like EBS and ESC, the Ultra EV 7M includes Electronic Braking System (EBS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Regenerative Braking Technology. Apart from this, electric buses are also equipped with automatic passenger counter and advanced intelligent transport system (ITS) for better monitoring. More than 2900 Tata electric buses are running in India. Tata Motors operates more than 2,900 electric buses across India, covering a distance of over 16 crore kilometers. Tata Motors is also at the forefront of hydrogen fuel cell technology in the country. The company's Fleet Edge platform uses smart technology to improve fleet management, vehicle uptime and safety.
