Tata Nexon ICNG Dark Edition Launch, 24km/KG Milez: The first CNG car with turbo petrol engine, 6 airbags for security, starting price ₹ 12.70 lakh

Tata Motors launched the dark edition of its most popular car Nexon's CNG version on January 27. Nexon CNG Dark Edition is based on Creative+ and Fearless+ Trims and has an all-black Exterior and Interior theme.

This compact SUV Turbo comes with a petrol engine. Therefore, this is the first car coming in India with a turbo petrol engine and CNG combination. The company claims that the car will run 24 km on one kilogram CNG.

Tata Nexon ICNG Dark Edition starts at ₹ 12.70 lakh Nexon's dark edition was launched in March last year. When its CNG version was launched in September-2018. Nexon ICNG Dark Edition Creative+costs Rs. 12.70 lakh, which is Rs. 40,000 is more, while Nexon CNG's Top-Spec Fearless+ PS Dark Trim is Rs. 20,000 is expensive.

What is new in Nexon ICNG Dark Edition? The dark edition of Tata Nexon ICNG has a 16-inch black alloy wheels with all Black Exterior. 'Dark' Beijing is available on SUV's side fender, while 'Nexon' began is offered in black. Nexon ICNG Dark Edition has all the Black Interior and Leatherate seat upholstery. The 'dark' branding will also be seen on the headrest.

Exterior: New design LED setup and alloy wheels will be available Speaking of design, Nexon ICNG is similar to its regular petrol-diesel model. The new LED drls split headlamp setup is given in its front. Under it LED headlamps have been installed on a sporty bumper. The back is given a fully attached LED tel light, called the company 'X Factor Tale Lamp'. There is also a welcome and goodbye function available.

Interior: 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system A two-spoke flat-botum steering wheel has been provided in the car's cabin. Apart from this, the car gets a touch panel HVAC unit on the dashboard and a new gear selector on the center console. Tata Nexon ICNG will get a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a full digital instrument cluster of 10.25-inch. The front ventilated seat is provided in its top variants.

Twin-cylinder tank setup with 60-liter capacity Nexon ICNG Dark Edition boot will see you twin cylinder technology. This technology has a twin-cylinder tank setup (two cylinders of each 30 liters) with a capacity of 60 liters. This gives Nexon ICNG a 321 liter boot space, which is 61 liters less than the petrol and diesel variants.

Safety specialty of gas leak detection Like other CNG models, Tata has given a safety feature of gas leak detection in Nexon ICNG. In the case of CNG leakage in the car, the leak detection technology automatically shifts the vehicle from CNG to petrol mode. This technology also alerts the driver about gas leaks.

Apart from this, a micro switch has been given to keep the car closed while fueling. This switch closes the ignition as soon as the fuel lid opened. This prevents the car from starting until the fuel lid is safely closed. It also offers a 'Close Fuel Lid' alert on the instrument cluster.

Nexon comes with twin cylinder technology.

Performance: Petrol, Diesel, CNG and Electric No mechanical changes have been made in the Tata Nexon ICNG Dark Edition. For performance, it has a 1.2 liter turbo-petrol CNG engine, which generates 100PS power and 170nm torque. For transmission, it has been tuned with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The option of automatic transmission has not yet been given.

While in Nexon's ICE -powered version, this engine generates 120PS power and 170nm of torque. In addition, a selection of 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic transmission) and 6-speed AMT (automated manual transmission) gearbox are available.

In addition, Nexon also has a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 115PS power and 260nm torque, with an option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT gearbox available. Tata Nexon also comes in the electric version. With this, it has become the first car in the country, which comes in all four versions of petrol, diesel, CNG and electric.

Features: Electric Sunroof with Voice Command Tata Nexon is equipped with many advanced facilities. These include Tata IRA 2.0 Mobile Connected-Technology, Voice Assisted Electric Sunroof, JBL 9-Speaker Sound System, Wireless Charger, Wireless Apple Carplay and First-in-Seagain Navigation Display on the Instrument Cluster. Apart from this, the car's top variants are also available with cruise control, hight adjustable driver seat, leather upholstery and electric panoramic sunroof with voice command.

Safety features: 360-degree cameras and tpms For Safety, Nexon has 360-degree cameras, front and rear parking sensors, first category blind-wuu monitor, ESP, 6 airbags, hill-hold control, roll over mitigation, traction control, ISOFIX child seat and tire monitoring system .
