Tata Harrier and Safari will get level-2 ADAS features: both SUVs will be able to drive without holding the steering wheel, will also do automatic braking

Tata Motors has updated its two SUVs Harrier and Safari with Level-2 Advanced Driving Assist System (ADAS) features. The Tata Harrier and Safari's ADAS suite will now include features like Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Adaptive Steering Assist (ASA).

Lane assist monitors the car's lane position and helps the car stay in the lane. On the other hand, Adaptive Steering Assist works in conjunction with Adaptive Cruise Control to maintain cruising speed and keep the car in lane.

Along with the ADAS features, the color options have also been updated. Tata launched the facelift models of both the SUVs in October last year with 11 different ADAS features. It includes features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning and high beam assist.

Lane keep assist and adaptive steering assist features were not included then. Apart from this, Tata has also changed its color options and added additional color options in each variant, but no new color options.

Harrier competes with Mahindra XUV 700, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The Safari is priced between Rs 15.49 lakh and Rs 26.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
