Skoda has launched its sub-compact SUV Kylak in India. This is the Czech Republic company's smallest SUV in India so far. Its design is inspired by Kushak. The cabin has a black and gray theme with silver and chrome accents all around.
Performance: Kushak engine setup
Skoda may offer a Kushak-like powertrain setup for performance in its new compact SUV. The Kushka is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, which generates 115hp of power and 178Nm of torque. Along with this engine, the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox will be available for transmission.
Features: 6 airbags and safety features like ADAS The Skoda Kylak can offer features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, fully digital driver display, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger and a sunroof.
For safety, this compact SUV can get features like 6 airbags, 360 degree camera, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Starting price Rs. 7.89 lakhs The sub-4 meter SUV is offered in four variants. These include Classic, Signature, Signature Plus and Prestige. It is priced at Rs 7.89 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom pan-India). The company has not shared the variant-wise price list of Kylak. It is expected that all the prices will be announced at the Global Mobility Show 2025.
Bookings for the Kylak SUV will begin from December 2, while deliveries will begin from January 27, 2025, after being showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. It will compete with Tata Nexon, Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO. Apart from this, it will compete with sub-4 meter crossovers like Maruti Suzuki Swift and Toyota Tigger.
