Redmi Turbo 4 smartphone launched with 6550mAh battery: World's first phone with Dimensional 8400-Ultra chipset, 50MP camera too

Tech company Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has launched the Redmi Turbo 4 smartphone in its home market China. The phone will be sold in India with the name Poco X7 Pro. The Redmi Turbo 4 smartphone is the world's first smartphone with the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset. It has a 6550mAh battery for power backup. While, a 50MP primary camera and 16GB RAM are also available.

Redmi Turbo 4 has been launched in China in four variants. Its base variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage costs around Rs 23,490, which goes up to Rs 29,370 for the top variant with 16GB RAM + 512GB storage. The phone is available in Cloud White, Light Sea Blue and Shadow Black color options.

A 5000mm² stainless steel VC cooling and ultra-thin 3D Iceloop system is installed in the mobile for gaming. The phone is built with a plastic frame over a metal body. It has texture and glass. This mobile is IP66 + IP68 + IP69 certified, making it dustproof and waterproof.

Redmi Turbo 4: Specifications

Display: The Redmi Turbo 4 features a 6.67-inch 1.5K display with a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. The screen is built on an OLED panel, which operates at a 120Hz refresh rate. Its PWM dimming is 1920Hz and peak brightness is 3200nits. For security, the display is protected with Gorilla Glass 7i.

Camera: For photography, the Redmi Turbo 4 has a dual rear camera setup on the back panel. It has a 50-megapixel Sony LTY-600 primary sensor, which supports OIS and EIS, and another 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens. The phone supports a 20-megapixel OV20B camera for selfies and video calling.

Performance: Redmi Turbo 4 runs on Hyper operating system 2 based on Android 15. For processing, the mobile is provided with a MediaTek Dimension 8400 Ultra chipset built on 4 nanometer fabrication. This 8-core processor is capable of running at a clock speed of up to 3.25GHz. The phone has a Mali-G720 MC6 GPU for graphics.

Memory: Redmi Turbo 4 phone works on LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage technology. It has two RAM options – 12 GB and 16 GB, while for storage, 256 GB and 512 GB memory options will be available, which can be expanded up to 1TB via SD card.

Battery: For power backup, the phone has a 6550mAh battery with 80W fast charging technology. This is a carbon-silicon battery. According to the company, it is durable even in -35 degrees Celsius. It can be charged to 100% in 45 minutes.
