Nissan Magnite facelift to launch on October 4: SUV to get more than 20 segment-first features, take on Renault Kaiger

The facelift model of Nissan Magnite will get more than 20 segment first features. Nissan Motor India is gearing up to launch its popular compact SUV in India on October 4. The company has released a teaser of the upcoming car on social media platform X, showing a glimpse of the facelifted model.

The teaser shows new dual-tone machine cut alloy wheels and hexagonal patterned front grille. It will get new 6 spoke dual tone alloy wheels, which will make this SUV look more stylish than before. Its size may be 16 inches like the current model. Apart from this, the company has also shown the new tail lights, which have the same design as the current model, but can offer halogen LED lights.

The price can be between 6.30 to 12 lakh rupees The price of the Nissan Magnite facelift in India may be higher than the current model. Currently its price is Rs. 6.30 lakh and Rs. 11.27 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India) between. In the segment, it will compete with sub-4 meter SUVs like the Renault Kaiger, Maruti Suzuki, Tatapanch, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300 and the upcoming Skoda.

Exterior: A new front grille and L-shaped LED DRLs will be available. The Nissan Magnite facelift model was spotted in the India NCAP test, which suggests that the updated model of the car will undergo design changes. The updated Magnite may get redesigned headlights along with a new grille and front bumper design. However, as before, it will feature L-shaped LED daytime running lamps.

Interior features: 7 inch driver display and wireless phone charger The cabin layout of the 2024 model of Nissan Magnite may remain the same, but it may get a larger touch screen infotainment system, electric sunroof, front ventilated seats and updated seat upholstery. Apart from this, features like a 7-inch digital driver display, ambient lighting and a wireless phone charger may also be offered like the Giza edition of the current model. For safety, the SUV will also get features like 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and child ISOFIX seat anchors as standard.

Performance: It will get a mileage of 19.70kmpl The current engine setup is expected to be available in the Nissan Magnite facelift. Currently, the car comes with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates 71hp of power and 96Nm of torque. The engine is tuned with a 5-speed automated manual transmission. Automatic and manual driving modes are available with the car.

It has anti-stall and quick-down as well as creep functions, which allow you to drive the car at low speeds by pressing the brake pedal without accelerating. This feature comes as standard across all variants along with Vehicle Dynamic Control with Hill Start Assist. The ARAI-certified mileage of the car with the automatic transmission is 19.70 kmpl, while the manual transmission gets a mileage of 19.35kmpl.
