Hero MotoCorp has launched the new generation Destiny 125 scooter in the Indian market on September 7. The updated scooter features LED projector headlights, a longer seat and a new engine. The company claims that this scooter will run 59 kilometers on one liter of petrol. Apart from this, many new features have been provided in Hero Destiny 125. This scooter will be offered in three variants namely VX, ZX and ZX+. Its ex-showroom price may range between Rs 85,000 to Rs 90,000. The new scooter will compete with Suzuki 125, TVS Jupiter 125 and Honda Activa 125 in the 125cc segment. Design: H-shaped LED DRL will be available The second generation Hero Destiny 125 is built on the platform of Zoom Xtec and its design has also undergone changes. The scooter has metal front fender with LED headlight and taillight. All-new H-shaped LED DRLs and turn indicators will be available here. The design of the side panel has completely changed. Hardware: Disc brakes will be available for the first time in Destiny The inside of the scooter has also undergone a lot of changes. The scooter now gets 12-inch wheels at both ends and the rear wheel now gets a fat tire of size 100/80-12. Due to this the riding quality has become better. The ZX and ZX+ variants get 190mm front disc brakes. This is the first time that disc brakes have been installed on the Destiny 125, while the base VX variant will get 130mm drum brakes. Performance: The Destiny 125's engine has been updated to deliver a mileage of 59kmpl. It will have a 124.6cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which generates 9hp of power at 7000rpm and 10.4Nm of torque at 5500rpm. Hero says the calibration of the CVT has been changed to improve refinement and mileage. The company claims that the scooter will get a mileage of 59kmpl (ICAT certified). Features like turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS warning All three variants of the scooter come with CBS, side stand engine cut-off, boot light, USB charging port and external fuel filler. For storage, the scooter has 19 liters of boot space under the seat and a 2 liter storage cubby in the front apron.
