Monster Energy MotoGP Editions of Yamaha R15M and MT-15 Launch: Both Bikes Get New Design Graphics Design, Price Rs. 1.73 lakh starting

Yamaha India has launched 2024 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition models as part of its 'The Call of the Blue' brand campaign. This includes R15M and MT-15 version 2.0. Both bikes are introduced with a new graphics design inspired by MotoGP. It has MotoGP livery on the tank shroud, fuel tank and side panel.

The 2024 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition R15M is priced at Rs 1,98,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the MT-15 version 2.0 at Rs. 1,73,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi). R15M competes with Suzuki Gixxer SF and Hero Karizma XMR in India, while MT-15 competes with Bajaj Pulsar NS200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V in India. The limited edition of both bikes will be available for sale exclusively at Blue Square showrooms.

Performance: 155cc single cylinder engine No mechanical changes have been made to both the bikes. It has a 155cc liter fuel-injected engine, which generates 18.1hp of power at 10000rpm and 14.2Nm of torque at 7500rpm mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

It has a dedicated traction control system. This system reduces the chance of wheel spin. The quick shifter facilitates smooth gear shifting without having to return to the throttle during manual clutch operation or upshifting. Apart from this, the assist and slipper clutch levers help to reduce pulling.

Hardware: Both bikes are based on the Deltabox frame. Both the bikes are built on the Deltabox frame. For comfort riding, it gets a telescopic inverted fork at the front and a linked-type monoshock suspension at the rear. At the same time, for braking, 282 mm disc brakes are available at the front and 220 mm disc brakes at the rear. It also has dual channel ABS.

Features: Dual-channel ABS and traction control system Talking about features, both the R15M and MT-15 version 2.0 get dual-channel ABS, traction control system, slip and assist clutch, variable valve actuation (VVA) and Bluetooth connectivity standard. The R15M is a more track-focused bike with sportier ergonomics and features clip-on handlebars and rear set footpegs.

It also gets additional features like quickshifter for license plate, full digital color TFT screen, turn-by-turn navigation, volume control, upgraded switchgear and LED lights. The street-naked MT-15 version 2.0 has a straighter handlebar and a more comfortable riding posture than the R15M and LCD digital instrument cluster.
