Mercedes AMG C63 SE Performance Launch: Priced at ₹1.95 crore; 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds, rivaling the BMW M4

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the AMG C63 SE Performance in the Indian market. This is the German company's third car launch in India this year. The company claims that this car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds.

The company has priced this car at Rs. 1.95 crore (initial ex-showroom pan India). Its bookings have already started and will be delivered in April next year. The new Mercedes AMG C63 SE Performance will compete with the Audi RS 5 Sportback and the BMW M4. The new sedan is introduced with AMG-exclusive design elements and updates.

Exterior : LED headlight setup with LED DRL The AMG C63 SE Performance is similar in shape to the standard C-Class, but stands out with its vertically slatted grille, aggressive bumpers and quad-tip exhaust. It has a long front end and also has wide fenders that give it a powerful look.

The front of the car features LED headlights with LED DRLs. AMG exclusive grille with vertical slats in between. Two electrically controlled air intakes are provided in the rear and bumper, which adjust the airflow as required.

On the sides, sporty side skirts and 19-inch AMG wheels come as standard. In their place, 20-inch forged wheels can also be had as an option. At 4841mm in length and 1900mm in width, the car is larger than its standard sibling, while the wheelbase has been increased by 10mm.

The rear has a black diffuser, dual trapezoidal exhaust tips on either side and a black spoiler on the boot lid. However, its taillight is similar to the regular C-Class. It gets a plug-in charging flap on the left fender and model badging with red highlights.

Interior: 12.3-inch digital driver display The cabin of the AMG C63 SE Performance gets Nappa leather seat upholstery as standard with embossed AMG logo on the front headrests. Apart from this, many upholstery options are available. The steering wheel is provided with rotary dials on the dashboard, through which the drive mode can be selected along with the suspension setting. Behind the steering wheel is a 12.3-inch digital driver display, which can be personalized with different styles and views. Behind the driver display you find AMG exclusive modes such as Race and Supersport along with an optional headup display. It also gets features like a panoramic sunroof and a Burmester audio system.

Features: 11.9-inch MBUX touchscreen infotainment system The AMG C63 SE Performance features a hybrid-specific display with an 11.9-inch MBUX touchscreen infotainment system centrally on the dashboard. It has features like a panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone integration, ADAS, AMG sports seats, carbon-fibre trim and red ambient lighting.

Performance: Company claims, most powerful 4-cylinder production car The new AMG C63 SE Performance has a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder V8 twin turbo petrol engine with 469hp power. It has a 2-speed electric motor attached to the rear axle. This plug-in-hybrid setup generates 680hp of power and 1020Nm of torque.

The engine is tuned with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. An all-wheel-drive option is also available. The car has a 6.1kWh battery pack, which gives it a range of up to 13km on a full charge. The company claims that this is the most powerful 4-cylinder production car in the world, which can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.4 seconds. A drift mode is also provided for off-roading.
