The India Mobility Global Expo 2025 has started today (January 17). 34 automobile companies are participating for the first time.This number is the highest since the first edition of the Auto Expo held in 1986. The official name of this expo is 'The Motor Show'.
According to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), several major brands including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mercedes, BMW, BYD will showcase their new models at the expo. This is the second edition of Bharat Mobility and the 17th edition of the Auto Expo Motor Show, which will run till January 22.
This time the focus of the companies in the event is to introduce electric vehicles. It will introduce Maruti Suzuki's e-Vitara, Hyundai Creta EV, MG's Cybster and M9, Kia's EV6 facelift and Ciros, Skoda's Enyaq and Elrok, Tata Motors' Harrier EV and Sierra EV.
Apart from this, India's first solar car Eva and Sarla Aviation's flying taxi will also be introduced. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the program at 10:30 am. In which more than 5 lakh people attended.
Brands participating in Bharat Mobility Show 2025
Talking about the manufacturers participating in the Auto Expo, they include global manufacturers like Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Hyundai Motor India, Kia India and Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche India. is BYD luxury brands will be involved.
Market leader brands like TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, Suzuki Motorcycle and Yamaha India will participate in the two-wheeler segment.
Whereas, the commercial section will include names like Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles, Ashok Leyland, JBM and Cummins India. Apart from this, electric vehicle manufacturing companies such as Aether Energy, Ola Electric, TI Clean Mobility, Eka Mobility and Vietnam-based Winfast will also showcase their models and technologies.

Hyundai Creta Electric : ₹17 lakh (expected price)
Hyundai will launch an electric version of its best-selling SUV Creta. Hyundai has made several changes to the Creta EV's design to give it a new identity. The cabin will have features like dual 10.25-inch dual digital displays, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof and level-2 ADAS.
The Creta EV will be offered in two battery pack options: 42 kWh and 51.4kWh. Its smaller battery pack version will offer a range of 390km with a 135ps electric motor, while the larger battery pack version will offer a range (ARAI) of 473km with a 171ps electric motor.
Maruti E Vitara: ₹22 lakh (expected price)
The production version of E Vitara will be launched. Its concept version was showcased at the 2023 Expo. Currently, the company has only revealed a glimpse of the E Vitara. The front look of the EV will be similar to the international version.
Maruti e-Vitara will be offered with many advanced features. Its global model has two battery pack options: 49kwh and 61kwh. It is speculated that the same battery pack option could be found in its Indian version as well.
Tata Harrier EV: ₹25 lakh (expected price)
The concept version of the Tata Harrier EV was first showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo followed by an updated version during an event in 2024. It is expected that the company may now showcase its production model, which has been spotted several times during tests.
A lot of similarities can be seen in the Harrier EV's cabin with the regular model. The upcoming car may feature a dual motor setup to support the all-wheel drivetrain. Harrier EV can have a range of more than 500km. Compared to the torsion bars found in the regular model, the Harrier EV will get a better multilink rear suspension.
MG Cyberster: ₹80 lakh (expected price)
The MG Cyberster will be the company's first fully electric convertible, featuring scissor doors and 20-inch alloy wheels. The Cyberstar will feature a triple-screen setup and a Bose 8-speaker sound system. The Indian version of the Cyberster will have a dual motor with 510ps of power and 725Nm of torque with a 77kWh battery pack. The company claims that this vehicle will offer a range of over 444km.
Tata Sierra: ₹20 lakh (expected prize)
A concept version of the Tata Sierra EV was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 followed by a concept version in a production-ready design at the 2023 Expo. Now its production version could be unveiled at the 2025 Auto Expo.
The Sierra EV can be provided with a 60 to 80kWh battery pack, through which the vehicle can cover a range of over 500 km. Apart from the Sierra EV, the company may also showcase the Sierra ICE model, the concept and production model of which is yet to be revealed.
Skoda Kodiaq: ₹40 lakh (expected price)
Skoda will showcase its new generation Kodiaq at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This vehicle has been spotted several times during testing. The new Kodiaq could be launched by the end of the year. The exterior design of this vehicle will be completely new and it will also get a new cabin.
Kodiak International models are offered with multiple powertrain options. It is speculated that the India-bound Kodiaq may feature the current model's 2-litre turbo petrol engine.
