After working on an electric vehicle concept for many years, Maruti Suzuki is finally going to enter the electric segment with its first electric car 'Maruti e Vitara'. Last year, during the Auto Expo in Milan, Italy, Maruti's parent company Suzuki unveiled its new electric car 'e Vitara' and for the first time the official images of the car can surface. Now Maruti Suzuki has listed this car on its official website.
Teaser continues to release…! Several teasers of 'Maruti e Vitara' have been released in the last few weeks. With every new teaser comes new information related to it. It will be unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo to be held on January 17 at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. The news is that this car may be launched for sale by March. This is a global model for Suzuki. Which will be manufactured in Suzuki's Gujarat plant. It plans to export 50 percent of its production to Japan and European markets.
How is the Suzuki E Vitara? Talking about the new Suzuki E-Vitara, it is similar to the concept model. Its look-design and its size are also similar to Maruti eVX. Although some of the sharp angles have been reduced, most of them remain the same as the eVX concept. It has tri-slash LED daytime running lights at the front and rear, charging ports on the front edges and curves on the rear wheel arches. In this, the rear door handle has been moved to the C-pillar, much like the old Swift.
Equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, the length and dimensions of this electric SUV are as follows
Size of Suzuki E Vitara: Length 4,275 mm Width 1,800 mm Height 1,635 mm Wheelbase 2,700 mm Ground clearance 180 mm
Battery packs and series The Suzuki e Vitara has been introduced by the company with two different battery packs (49kWh and 61kWh). In this, the larger battery pack is offered with a dual-motor All Wheel Drive (AWD) setup, which the company calls All Grip-E. It features a Blade Cell Lithium Iron-Phosphate (LFP) battery pack sourced from Chinese car company Build Your Dream (BYD). While other carmakers only export battery cells, assemble them locally and use them in their vehicles, Suzuki is importing the entire battery-pack from BYD.
However, Suzuki has not yet given any official information about the range of this electric SUV. But the company had earlier said that the massive battery pack with a capacity of 61kWh could provide a driving range of up to 500 km on a full charge in global testing. So roughly this is what can be expected from this electric SUV.
