Mahindra has released a new teaser of its two upcoming electric cars XEV 9e and BE 6e. This time the company has publicly revealed the exterior design of both the cars. Earlier, the company had previewed the interior design of both the cars.
Both electric cars have a coupe roofline and will be the new XEV and the first electric car under the Born Electric (brand), which will be based on Mahindra's new Inglo platform. The XEV 9e and BE 6e will be launched on November 26.
Both the electric cars can be offered with multi-zone AC, wireless phone charger and premium audio system. For safety, it can offer safety features like 6 airbags and Level 2 ADAS as standard.
Exterior Design: Both EVs are based on the Anglo platform The upcoming XEV 9e and BE 6e are based on the INGLO platform, which is designed for best performance. The XEV 9e will offer the feel of a luxury electric car, while the BE 6e will deliver bold and athletic performance.
At the same time, the BE 6e will have a front light system inspired by the XUV 3XO and will have the BE logo instead of the Mahindra logo. The BE 9e features reverse C shape connected LED DRLs and connected LED tail lights. Both the electric SUVs will get bold character lines and large wheel arches.
Interior: Both have a 2-spoke steering wheel and a panoramic sunroof. Earlier, the cabins of the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e were glimpsed. The XEV 9e has a triple screen setup, which includes a digital driver display, a touch screen and a passenger display. While the BE 6e has a dual integrated screen. Both the models get a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo and a panoramic sunroof.
Performance: RWD and AWD option available Information about the battery pack and electric motor of both the electric SUVs has not been shared. According to media reports, the XEV 9e could have a choice of 60kWh and 80kWh battery packs. At the same time, it can achieve a range of up to 500 km. The BE 6e electric SUV may be offered with a 60kWh battery pack. It can achieve a range of up to 450 km. Both rear wheel drive (RWD) and all wheel drive (AWD) options can be found in both EVs.
Features: Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System may be available Talking about the features, the XEV 9e can be provided with multi-zone AC, wireless phone charger, premium audio system and ventilated and powered seats. It will also have vehicle-to-load and regeneration modes available.
The BE 6e can also be offered with multi-zone AC, wireless phone charger and a premium audio system. For passenger safety, it can offer safety features like 6 airbags, 360-degree camera and Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) as standard.
Starting price Rs. 24 lakh ex-showroom The Mahindra Mahindra XEV 9e will compete with the upcoming Tata Harrier EV and Safari EV. At the same time, the BE 6e will compete with Tata Curve EV, MG ZS EV, upcoming Maruti e-Vitara and Hyundai Creta EV.
