Jeep India today (October 21) launched the facelift of its popular SUV Meridian in the Indian market. The updated Meridian is offered with 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. It is priced at Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India).
The starting price of the car has been reduced by 6.24 lakh rupees. The pre-facelift Meridian is priced at Rs. 31.23 lakh starts. Bookings for the new Meridian have already started and deliveries will begin by the end of this month. It will compete with Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Skoda Kodiaq.
Engine power and mileage The Jeep Meridian is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. This engine generates a power of 168 bhp at 3,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 350 Nm between 1,750-2,500 rpm. Its fuel efficiency is 16.25 kmpl.
Cabin features Features include a 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel, wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof and powered and ventilated front seats. The entry-level Longitude variant is being offered only in a five-seat variant, with all other variants getting a standard 7-seat layout. However, some features like powered and ventilated front seats and sunroof are not offered in the base variant.
ADAS Level-2 Safety The new Meridian comes with more than 70 safety features. Its top-spec Overland trim offers several new advanced features including ADAS level-2 suite and more connectivity features. Features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning with Collision Mitigation Braking, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist are available. It features connected technology including Alexa Home to Vehicle integration.
