India's automobile exports up 14%: Indian companies sold 25.28 lakh vehicles in overseas markets between April and September

The demand for Indian cars is once again increasing all over the world. According to a recent report by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), India's automobile exports have grown by 14% over last year. Between April and September, Indian companies sold 25,28,248 vehicles in the foreign market. The figure was 22,11,457 in the same period last year.

Maruti Suzuki Top Exporter- Exports grew by 12% Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car manufacturer, topped the list by exporting 1,47,063 vehicles between April and September. The figure was 1,31,546 in the same period a year ago. There has been an increase of 12 percent year-on-year.

Two-wheeler export 19.59 lakhs, up 16% Two-wheelers exports rose 16% year-on-year to 19,59,145 during April to September in the current financial year from 16,85,907 in the same period a year ago. 34.59 lakh two-wheelers were exported from the Indian market in the entire financial year 2024.

Total exports in FY 2023-24 5.5% less Due to the ongoing conflict and financial crisis around the world, auto exports have registered a decline of 5.5% in the financial year 2023-24. A total of 45,00,492 vehicles were shipped from India to the global market during this period. While in the financial year 2022-23 this number was 47,61,299.
