Hyundai to launch electric commercial vehicle in Indian market: Introduces E3W and E4W concept models, partners with two-wheeler maker TVS

Korean company Hyundai Motor is gearing up to enter the Indian commercial market. The company showcased the concept models E3W and E4W at the recently held Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

Hyundai has developed these models under the company's vision 'Progress for Humanity'. It is designed for intra-city mobility and last-mile mobility solutions in the commercial sector.

Hyundai partnered with TVS For this the company has partnered with Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor. Under this partnership, both companies will jointly manufacture electric three-wheeler (E3W) and micro 4-wheeler (E4W) vehicles.

However, no documents have been signed for the partnership between the two companies yet. The companies are currently exploring possibilities where Hyundai will handle design and development, while TVS will handle manufacturing and distribution.

Hyundai E3W

Talking about the design of the electric 3-wheeler (E3W) concept, it will be a multi-purpose and eco-friendly solution. It is designed to run on narrow city streets. The height of the e3W Micro Mobility Concept is adjustable. So that its height can be raised to drive on waterlogged roads during heavy rains in monsoon season.

NAMASTE is written on the LED screen at the front of the commercial vehicle. Apart from this, it features an angled windshield, flat floor, longer wheelbase, more legroom and larger tires for a comfortable ride.

Talking about the seating configuration, it has a single driver seat facing forward. Two people can sit on the back seat. A wheelchair can also be accommodated by folding the back seat. Its display gives a range of 168KM on 80% battery. The interior features a slim instrument cluster, a futuristic information display with a mobile holder.

Hyundai E4W

As for the 4-wheeler concept, its overall design is similar to the E3W concept. It has a steering wheel instead of a handle and two front wheels instead of a single wheel. NAMASTE is written on the LED screen at the front of this commercial vehicle like E3W.

It also features an angular windshield, flat floor, wide wheelbase, more legroom and larger tires for a comfortable ride. The e4W Micro Mobility Concept is also height adjustable. This facilitates raising the height of the vehicle on waterlogged roads during heavy rains in the monsoon season. Talking about the seating configuration, it has a driver seat along with a passenger seat. Three people can sit on the back seat. The interior features a slim instrument cluster, a futuristic information display with a mobile holder.
