Honda recalls 300cc and 350cc bikes: Wheel speed sensor and camshaft recalled due to defects, company will replace parts for free

Honda Motor Cycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has recalled the 300cc and 350cc bikes in its lineup due to a technical fault. The recall of the company includes 5 models.

The company told the market regulator that the motorcycles have been recalled to fix problems with the wheel speed sensor and camshaft. However, the company has not disclosed their number.

Suspicion of a malfunction in the braking system

  • Malfunction in wheel speed sensor: Honda said that improper molding process was done while manufacturing Honda CB300F, CB300R, CB350, H'ness CB350 and CB350RS manufactured between October 2020 and April 2024. Due to this, water may enter the wheel speed sensor, and damage it. If the sensor fails, the speedometer, traction control or ABS may malfunction. Due to this defect, the braking system will not work properly and may cause a serious accident when the bike moves at high speed.
  • Camshaft Malfunction: At the same time, the camshaft unit of Honda CB350, CB350RS and H'ness CB350 manufactured between June 2024 and July 2024 has been found to be defective. Honda said the camshaft affects the mechanical performance of the bike. If it is bad it does not allow the bike to perform well. The company also said that currently there are no complaints of any type of accident due to these problems.

No charge will be taken from the customer The company has asked customers to take their motorcycles to Bigwing dealerships, where the fault will be rectified. For this customers have to book an appointment for their bike.

You can book an appointment from the Honda BigWing website For this, bike owners can visit the Honda BigWing Website and check the 'Recall Campaign' option on the homepage. Here you will be asked to select your motorcycle model and feed the 17-digit VIN/chassis number to see if your bike is affected by one or both of these issues.
