Honda Elevate Dark Edition to launch today: SUV with all black theme, mileage of 17kmpl, will rival Hyundai Creta N-Line

Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) is gearing up to launch a dark edition of its popular SUV Elevate. Recently, the production version of this special edition was spotted during testing. According to Autocar India, the Dark Edition of the Elevate will be launched today (January 7).

Honda will introduce two versions of it. These include the Elevate Black Edition and the Elevate Signature Black Edition. Both the special editions will be launched in a dark black color theme with cosmetic updates. The company hasn't shared the internals, but the cabin of the car will be based on a dark theme.

The company claims that this car runs 17 kilometers on one liter of petrol. The next edition of the Elevate will compete with the likes of Kia Seltos X-Line, Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition, Volkswagen Taigun GT-Line, MG Aster Black Storm Edition and Hyundai Creta N-Line in the Indian market.

It will be 60 to 75 thousand rupees more expensive than the base variant The dark edition of Honda Elevate will be based on its high-end variant ZX. It is believed to cost more than its base variant at Rs. 60,000-75,000 would be expensive. Its price could start from around Rs 17.20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It will have features like automatic climate control, connected car technology and Honda's Level-2 ADAS.

How powerful will the engine be? The engine of the SUV is expected to have very little change. It will use the same 1.5 liter capacity engine that is normally offered with it. The 1.5 liter engine provided in it gives the SUV a power of 121 PS and a torque of 145 Newton meters. It can also get manual and CVT transmission options.
