Vida, a subsidiary of Hero MotoCorp, has launched the Vida V2, an updated version of its electric scooter Vida V1, in India on December 4. The company has launched a new series of electric scooters in three variants – V2 Lite, V2 Plus and V2 Pro. V2 Lite is the new variant.
The starting price of the Vida V2 range has been kept at Rs 96,000, which goes up to Rs 1.35 lakh in the top variant V2 Pro. The company is offering a vehicle warranty of 5 years or 50,000 km with the electric scooter, while the battery pack has a warranty of 3 years or 30,000 km.
The company claims that the V2 Pro variant has a range of 94km once fully charged. The new Hero Vida V2 electric scooter range will compete with electric scooters like Aether Ritza, Aether 450X, Ola S1 range, Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube in the electric scooter segment.
Hero Vida v2 Lite, Plus and Pro — Battery Specifications The main difference between the Lite, Plus and Pro is the battery pack. The Vida V2 Lite has a 2.2 kWh battery pack, while the Vida V2 Plus has a 3.44 kWh battery pack and the Vida V2 Pro has a 3.94 kWh battery pack. Hero says the battery can be recharged at home, taking about 6 hours to charge up to 80 percent.
The motor develops 25Nm of torque and in the V2 Pro model, it helps the scooter accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 2.9 seconds, while helping it reach a top speed of 90 kmph. The range-topping Hero Vida V2 Pro also gets four riding modes: Eco, Ride, Sport and Custom.
Hero Vida V2 Lite, Plus and Pro — Features and Competition In terms of features, the new Vida V2 electric scooter range has turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle telematics, battery state-of-charge (SoC) and more, including cruise control, keyless go and a 7-inch TFT. An advanced Reason instrument cluster is available. The company offers a vehicle warranty of 5 years or 50,000 km, while the battery pack has a warranty of 3 years or 30,000 km.
