Maruti Suzuki India is gearing up to launch its first electric car, the E-Vitara, at the Global Mobility Expo-2025. Earlier, Suzuki released a video, in which the e-Vitara is shown running in snow. This video is from a testing site in Japan located in Hokkaido province.

The company said the concept model was tested in snowy conditions to detect any flaws in challenging terrain and low temperatures. In the video, the e-Vitara is performing smoothly in the snow. Maruti Suzuki India recently released the first teaser of the e-Vitara.

Maruti's parent company Suzuki Motor Corporation unveiled it to the global market at the EICMA-2024 motor show held in Milan, Italy in October this year. Named E-Vitara, the mid-range electric SUV is the production version of the EVX, which was first unveiled at the Auto Expo-2023.

The electric SUV will be manufactured at Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited's plant from February 2025. It may go on sale in Europe, Japan and India by June. The company claims that this car will run for 400 kilometers once it is fully charged.
