According to a report by global investment banking firm Jefferies, the market for the Indian wedding industry in India is around Rs. 12.7 lakh crore, making it the second largest industry after food and grocery. It is likely to get bigger in the coming years. On an average, every family in the country spends 12 lakh rupees on a wedding.

The report shows that the Indian wedding industry market has overtaken the US wedding industry. However, it still lags behind the Chinese marriage market.
