Bajaj Auto has reduced the price of its CNG bike Freedom-125 by Rs 10,000. The base drum variant of the bike has become cheaper by Rs 5 and the mid-spec drum LED variant has become cheaper by Rs 10 thousand. While, the top variant is still priced at just Rs 1.10 lakh. After the price cut, it costs Rs. 89,997 to Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom) is between.
Bajaj has announced a price cut for the world's first CNG bike within 6 months of its launch. The company launched the Bajaj Freedom 125 in the Indian market on July 5 this year. There are two fuel options for riding the bike namely, 2 liter petrol tank and 2 kg CNG tank. A full filling of both will give a mileage of 330km.
The rider can switch from CNG to petrol and from petrol to CNG with a single button. More than 11 safety tests of the bike have been done. The tank did not leak even after a 10 ton load truck came down. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari claimed that the cost of running a CNG two-wheeler would be around Rs 1 per kilometre.

The bike has a switch to shift between petrol and CNG
100 km per kg mileage on CNG A CNG tank weighs 18kg when fully filled with gas. The company claims a mileage of 100 km/kg on CNG and 65kpl when using petrol. It has a 125cc single-cylinder engine, which generates 9.5 PS of power and 9.7Nm of peak torque. This engine can run on both petrol and CNG.
