Bengaluru-based EV company Ather Energy on January 4 launched an updated range of its popular electric scooter 450 series. These include the 450S, 450X 2.9kWh, 450X 3.7kWh and 450 Apex. The electric scooter has been introduced with two new color options and new features.
Ather 450X and 450 Apex incorporate multi-mode traction control technology to prevent the scooter from slipping. These include 'Rain Mode' for wet roads, 'Road Mode' for normal roads and 'Rally Mode' for off-roading. The electric scooter will now get a range of up to 161 km.
The price of the Aether 450 lineup has been increased. Prices for the base model 450S are now Rs. 1,29,999, which for the top model 450 Apex is Rs. 1,99,999 (all prices ex-showroom). The company has already started test rides and bookings.
The 2025 Aether 450 lineup competes with TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 lineup and Hero Vida V2 in India.
