Aether Energy has launched the Eight70TM warranty program for all electric scooter batteries in its portfolio. Customers taking Pro Membership will get the benefit of this scheme. For this you have to spend Rs 4,999. Under this membership, customers purchasing an Aether electric scooter will get a warranty of 8 years or 80,000 kilometers for the battery. Company CEO Tarun Mehta has given this information by sharing a post on social media platform X.
Battery durability is an important factor for buyers Speaking on the occasion, the company's Chief Business Officer Ravneet Singh Podhela said that battery durability is a very important factor for EV buyers. That's why we've brought the Eight70TM Warranty to customers. It claims 70% battery health insurance for 8 years.
These benefits will be available under the Eight70TM Warranty Scheme
- Coverage up to 8 years or 80,000 km
- 70% Battery Health Insurance
- Complete coverage of manufacturing defects and failures
- There is no upper limit on the claim amount
- If the battery health remains below 70% during the warranty period or the cells die due to prolonged non-charging, the battery pack will be replaced.
You will not get benefit in case of theft or accident. The company excludes in the Eight70TM warranty program customer negligence, modifications to the battery, removal or alteration of VIN and BIN, theft, accident, misuse, flood and fire, etc. are not covered. Apart from this, natural wear and tear or any physical damage to the battery is also excluded from the plan. The scheme will start from the date of vehicle challan.
