2025 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R Launched, Price ₹8.79 Lakh: India's First Middle-Weight 4-Cylinder Supersports Bike, Will Take on the Yamaha R15

Two-wheeler maker Kawasaki India has launched the 2025 model of its super sports bike ZX-4R in India on November 20. The company claims that this is India's first middle-weight 4-cylinder super sports bike. In the 400CC bike segment in India, it will compete with the Yamaha R15 400, while in the price segment, it will also compete with the Triumph Daytona 660 (₹9.72 lakh) and the Suzuki ZSX-8R (₹9.25 lakh).

The company has introduced the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R in a single variant with a special Metallic Spark Black color option. Apart from this, no changes have been made to the bike. It has been priced at Rs 8.79 lakh ex-showroom, which is Rs 30 thousand more than the previous model.

The high performance bike will be imported as a Complete Built Unit (CBU). According to the company, the Ninja ZX-4R offers a similar riding handling experience to the Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-6R included in its lineup. The bike rides on 17 inch alloy wheels.

The most powerful sports bike in the 400cc segment The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled, inline-four-cylinder engine, which generates 77hp of power at 14,500rpm and 39Nm of torque at 13,000rpm. The engine is tuned with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. The bike with this engine is the most powerful bike in the 400cc segment in India.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R: Suspension, Braking and Features The Kawasaki ZX-4R is designed on a trellis frame. For a comfortable ride, the sports bike features Showa USD front forks and pre-load adjustable rear monoshock suspension. For braking, the bike gets 290mm dual front disc brake and 220mm rear disc brake.

The bike has dual-channel ABS with Kawasaki traction control. Talking about the features, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R comes with a 4.3-inch full-color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The bike offers customizable riding modes – Sport, Rain and Road.
