Answer: To see an eye doctor every two months. These are the basic questions and their answers. Now let's know what is it in these drops that there is no need to wear glasses? Are there drops like this before, or have there been drops like this before? To find out the answer to these questions, we asked two senior eye doctors of Ahmedabad, Dr. Rashmin Patel and Dr. Interacted with Hitesh Ramanuja. Both the expert doctors explained these drops and their effect from the area. Drops do not reduce the number, but there is a temporary effect Dr. Ahmedabad senior eye surgeon. Rashmin Patel, in a conversation with Frontpage Insights, said that the new eye drops that have received approval are the drug pilocarpine. It is called myotin drug. Shrink the eyeball (figure). When the pupil shrinks, the crystalline lens of the eye means that the pupil of the eye swells, so that a person can see clearly. This drug has been used for a long time in America but there is no regular use. Now the drops that the Indian company has made have now been approved. So the Indian company has made the same type of eye drops that are available in America. These drops are such that if you put one drop you will see clearly for six hours. If you apply another drop after six hours, it will appear for three hours more. Can be used twice a day and the patient can see for 9 hours. This does not reduce the number. A temporary effect occurs. Keep in mind, this side effect can happen Dr. Rashmin Patel says, the drug in these drops can also cause side effects in many people. For example, red eye, constriction of the eye may cause headache. If we talk further than that, after applying these drops for a long time, the pupil of the eye (kiki) remains shrunk. Then it cannot be widened. So sometimes when an operation is to be done, cataract removal, eye diagnosis is to be done, it is difficult to dilate the pupil. Kiki does not even widen when needed. These drops have long been used for jammers. In this, the company has launched drops by increasing the concentration of pilocarpine hydrochloride in the medicine. The concentration in Jammer was 1 percent. The concentration in these new drops has been increased to 1.25 percent. These drops are most effective in the age group of 40 to 55 years. So only people aged 42 to 55 can be given more. The company has not yet declared some data. Suppose if age is 40 plus one number and if age is 45 it is one and a half number, if age is 55 then it is nearest two and half number. How can you tell how much number is neutralized by these drops? It will be known only after the drops start to be used in regular life. Do not see in low light after instilling drops! Suppose someone takes 6 to 9 hours of vision and puts in drops to see clear at night? Can the drops be applied in the evening or in the morning? In response, Dr. Rashmin Patel says, if the light is low and you take a photo with the camera, the flash is very bright and the shutter opens more, and if the light is high, the shutter opens less and the photo falls. The eyeball works like a camera. If you go into the sun, the pupil shrinks, and if you go into the dark, the pupil (figure) widens. If you put in pilocarpine drops, the pupil is less likely to dilate, so if the person with the drops goes in the dark, they will have trouble seeing because the pupil is constricted after the drops. By instilling these drops, the patient cannot see in low light. That is to use these drops only under the observation of a doctor. Not to be taken together. See an eye doctor every two months while continuing to instill the drops. 'By applying these drops, the cornea narrows…' says Dr. Dr., a senior eye consultant practicing in Maninagar area of Ahmedabad. Hitesh Ramanuj said in a conversation with Frontpage Insights that this eyedrop is called pilocarpine drop. Pilocarpine was used for Jammer's problem. What we call the pupil means the central nucleus narrows in the light and widens in the dark, so if we go from light to dark, nothing can be seen for a while. Because it takes time to grow smaller. When it narrows, read and see the nearest. Sees and reads clearly when widened. It has an accommodative effect when it is smaller. Many do not need near glasses for 45 to 50 years because their accommodation is so powerful. Eye muscles should be powerful. These eyedrops cause lower presbyopia by narrowing the pupil. Suppose you are 42 years old and need half, quarter or one number then this drop can be used. So that there is no need to wear glasses. But when this drop comes in our hands and we will use it, we will know practically. Generally, its side effects may be that some may get headache and some may have other problems. But which side effect, where it occurs can be known more only after using the drops. Yes, the age is higher. Believe it or not, if you are 60 years or older, these drops don't seem to have much of an effect. Dr. Dr. Hitesh Ramanuj takes the matter further and says, this type of medicine was used earlier in Jamar. There are worse jammers, called toxic jammers. In such cases eyedrops containing pilocarpine were used. Its effect varies in different concentrations (doses). Suppose, if someone is European or American, his Irish (eyeball) color is different. The color of the kiki of Indians is also different. So its color is also affected. If Indian people have dark brown kernels, it needs more concentration (quantity). For example, if it is blue kiki, 2 percent drops should be given, if it is dark brown, 4 percent drops should be given. As these drops narrow the keel, the angle changes. Pilocarpine was originally used in glaucoma, but according to a new study, it is now said to be effective in presbyopia (clear vision). These drops should be applied for life time when required. Can be inserted until the cataract occurs and is operated on. Children are also given drops to prevent the number of glasses from increasing. Giving his information, Dr. Hitesh Ramanuj says, these drops are coming so that glasses will not be needed for near vision and reading, but on the contrary, drops for children to not increase the number of glasses are also coming all ready. Atropine drops have come in lower concentrations (lower doses) to prevent increased numbers of children. Atropine acts against this. It widens the keiki. The lower concentration means it doesn't dilate the pupil as much, otherwise it can cause eye strain. But this drop is given once at night as the number does not increase in children. This drop can be applied till the child reaches 14 years of age. This does not increase his numbers. Atropine drops are not new nowadays but were used to dilate tonsils. But its concentration (quantity) is different. The amount of element in it varies. Drops for children have a milder concentration. So no other side affects. Regarding these drops, Dr. Atropine is a low-concentration drug, says Rashmin Patel. In children who have drops to prevent the growth of the minus number. This drug has been in the market for the past ten years but no specific data is available. In fact, if there is data, it will be easy to know to whom, when, for how long the drug can be given. The medical store will give the drops only if the doctor prescribes them. These eye drops were worked on for two years. After that the company got success. Now Drug Regulatory Agency has approved these eye drops. It was launched on 3 September 2024 at the Pharmaceuticals Campus in Mumbai. This type of drops is the first medicine made in India, which was tested only on Indians. These drops are made based on the genetic population of Indians. It can be bought only on the recommendation of registered doctors. That is, medical store owners can give drops only if it is written in the prescription. The company had sought approval from DCGI for the drug by early 2022. The company was then asked for a phase-3 clinical trial. It was tested on 250 patients at 10 locations across the country. (Note: These drops should be administered only after consulting the doctor, should be administered under the doctor's observation and should be shown to the doctor every two months while the drops are on)
