Mobile Phone Radiation Dangerous: Bad Effects on Sperm Quality and Fertility, Check Mobile SAR Value Here's How

Generally, while buying a smartphone, people look at things like its camera, RAM, storage and processor. But do you know that it is also necessary to check the radiation level of the smartphone while buying it.

In fact, every smartphone has a certain radiation level. If the smartphone is emitting more radiation than the standard, it can cause many health problems. In such a situation, it is very important to check the radiation level while buying a smartphone. To check this, one must know how to calculate the SAR value. The level of smartphone radiation can be checked by SAR value.

So, today In work news We will talk about what is SAR value? You will also know that-

  • How can we know the SAR value of our smartphone?
  • What kind of health problems can a high SAR value cause?

Q- What is SAR value? Answer- The SAR value, or Specific Absorption Rate, is a method of measuring the radio frequency emitted from a device. Waves emitted from smartphones are not static. It is constantly increasing and decreasing. When we do many things simultaneously on the phone, it increases, when the phone is used less, the waves decrease. The SAR value is measured in watts per kilogram (W/kg).

Q- Which SAR value of mobile phone is safe? Answer- The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) in India has set a SAR value of 1.6 W/kg for mobile phones. Here watts/kilogram means 1 kilogram of tissue can absorb a maximum of 1.6 watts of waves. A phone's SAR value higher than this can cause harm to the body. However, different countries have set their own standards regarding the SAR value.

Question- What kind of health problems can be caused due to smartphone radiation?

Answer- Today, smartphones have become a part of our daily routine, but it cannot be denied that it also harms our health. A study related to electromagnetic field has been published in the famous portal EMF.

This study says that radiation from mobile phones can also affect our sleep.

According to this research, people who use mobile phones have more problems like fatigue, headache, eye pain and insomnia.

Q- Can mobile phone radiation cause brain cancer?

Answer – Not at all, a recent World Health Organization (WHO) study has debunked the belief that electromagnetic radiation from mobile phones and wireless technology can cause cancer.

According to studies, radio waves emitted from mobile phones and wireless technology do not have enough energy to damage DNA. But yes, it can definitely cause other health problems and they are no less serious.

Question- How can we know the SAR value of a smartphone?

Answer- Today smartphones have become an essential part of our lives. Whether people are sitting comfortably at home or driving, they will be found scrolling on their mobiles. Some people scroll the mobile screen before going to bed at night and then sleep with it next to the pillow, while everyone knows that mobile phones emit electromagnetic radiation. Prolonged exposure to this radiation can be dangerous.

In such a situation, it is very important to take some precautions by knowing the SAR value of the smartphone, so that the health problems caused due to radiation can be reduced to a great extent.

Q- How can I check the SAR value in smartphone settings?

Answer- Follow these steps to check SAR value in smartphone.

For Android users

Step 1: Go to Settings option.

Step 2: Tap on the About phone option.

Step 3: Tap on Legal Information.

Step 4: After this go to and click on Safety Information.

Step 5: Now scroll through the information on the screen and find the RF Exposure section. In this you can check the radiation level of your phone.

For iPhone users

Step 1: Open Settings and tap on General option.

Step 2: Click on 'Law & Regulatory'.

Step 3: Tap RF Exposure.

Step 4: Find the SAR value link and tap on it.

Step 5: After this, a page will open in a separate web browser, which will give you detailed information about the current radiation level of the iOS device.

Question- What things should be taken care of to avoid smartphone radiation?

Answer- There are two types of radiation in our smartphones, one is microwave radiation and the other is heating radiation. Microwave radiation is the radiation that a smartphone emits when it connects to a signal from a mobile tower. Heating radiation is caused by mobile phones heating up while receiving calls or using the phone. In such a situation, it is not possible to block the microwave radiation because by blocking it, the phone signal will be lost.
