6 New Year's Health Resolutions: No Hard Work To Keep, Make It A Part Of Daily Life, Brain Sharpen, Face Glow, Diseases Away

We are entering a new year with new hopes and prospects. Everyone makes some resolutions in the new year. The goal is only one, to make life better. For example, students resolve to study with a better schedule. People working in corporates are determined to get promotion by completing projects on time.

The question is how will this be possible? The simple answer is – “when we are in good health.” If health is good then all other aspects of life will also be good.

So, today' Health water In ' we have come up with 6 health resolutions.

Expert: Dr. Amrita Mishra, Nutritionist and Dietetics, New Delhi

These are not resolutions that require a lot of effort. We are not saying that you should get up at 5 am and go for a run. We are also not saying that you should not taste chole-bhatura or puri. All we are saying is that make the 6 things written below a part of your daily life.

What are these 6 resolutions, let's see-

1. Eat a plate of salad before lunch and dinner

There is no effort involved in this resolution. One carrot, one radish, one cucumber and one tomato should be cut and eaten before the meal. There is no hassle of cooking, no hassle of saving. It's a five minute job.

The good thing is that none of these items are expensive or rare. Half a kilo of carrots costs less than a packet of chips.

After eating a plate of salad, you can eat whatever you want. Puri and Chole Bhature, Chaat and Samosa too.

What are the benefits of eating a plate of salad rich in fiber and vitamins before eating anything, see the graphic below-

2. Wherever there is a lift or elevator, use the stairs only

How much effort does it take to climb a few steps of a ladder? Try this, then you will understand how easy it is to keep a resolution. This is easy to do if you don't have heavy luggage or you are not sick.

According to the American Council on Exercise, climbing stairs burns 8 to 11 calories per minute. If you climb just 20 stairs a day, you can lose 4 kg in a year without any exercise. It has many other benefits. See graphic:

3. Go on foot, not by bike or car

Usually a vegetable or milk shop is not far from home. Barely 500 to 1000 steps are required. But even for this distance we take bike or car.

This year, take a small resolution that you will never take an auto, car or bike for a few kilometers, but only walk. This is very easy to do. This excuse will be available morning and evening.

  • Heart health will improve
  • Muscle strength will increase
  • Bone health will be good
  • Joint health will improve
  • Mental health will improve
  • Quality of sleep will improve
  • Blood sugar will be under control

According to a study published in the medicine journal 'Springer', if a person walks just 3800 steps per day, their risk of developing dementia is reduced by 25%. People who walk about 10,000 steps per day have a 70% reduced risk of dementia.

It has many more benefits, see graphic:

4. If you feel hungry, don't buy packets of biscuits, chips or cakes and eat them

This is a very small and simple resolution. When we feel hungry, we often open a packet of chips or biscuits and eat them. Of course, one feels full after eating it and one also gets a lot of calories. But nothing is gained in the name of nutrition.

Packaged foods also increase lifestyle and chronic disease risk. So always keep dry fruits or any seasonal fruit in your bag. Have roasted peanuts or makhana. So you don't buy a packet of chips when you're hungry. See the graphic below for the benefits of doing so:

5. Drink water when thirsty, not cold drinks It has become a trend that if people are out and about and feel thirsty and have a dry throat, they immediately buy a cold drink and drink it. This is a bad habit. This only harms health. Not so, by spending money we invite diseases from the front.

Make a resolution this year to drink water when you feel thirsty and always carry a water bottle with you. Doing so will have these benefits –

  • It will relieve acidity, constipation and gas.
  • Will help detoxify the body.
  • The body will be hydrated.
  • Skin will be healthy and glowing.
  • Insulin resistance will not occur
  • Leptin hormone will increase and food intake will decrease.

6. From now on we will have dinner before 7 o'clock

The last and easiest New Year's resolution is to have dinner before 7pm.

You don't need to work hard for this. We have dinner at 8-9. Move that time forward a bit and eat 1-2 hours earlier. You can't even imagine the amazing benefits this small commitment will bring. See graphic:

These 6 small resolutions can save you from many diseases and bring a big change in your life.

The most important thing is that no separate effort is required for this.
