- First, fry the semolina on a low flame for 15-20 minutes until it turns golden.
- After that add ghee and fry for another 2-3 minutes.
- Now add four cups of hot water and cook it.
- When the pudding starts to thicken, add sugar.
- Stir for another 3-4 minutes. The halwa is ready.
- Now add cardamom powder and finely chopped dry fruits.
- To make halwa, roasting semolina takes the longest time. So, if you have baked the rava in advance, making the halwa is a matter of minutes when the guests arrive. But for that some advance preparation has to be done.
- Take a kg packet of semolina, roast it until golden brown, cool it and pack it in an air tight container.
- Similarly, finely chop the dry fruits, fry them lightly in ghee and store them in the refrigerator. Dry fruits should not be kept outside after cutting.
- Now we know that if guests arrive suddenly, we have to serve them something sweet immediately.
- So you take some ghee in a pan, add roasted semolina and stir for just 30 seconds. Then add water and sugar and stir for another five minutes and the halwa is ready.
- Now remove the roasted dry fruits from the fridge and arrange them on the halwa.
- Guests sitting outside in the drawing room will be amazed how this hot halwa is ready in five minutes.
Gram flour pakoras are different
Just hearing the name of gram pakoda makes everyone's mouth water. The taste of hot pakoras with tea is different.

- Gram flour cannot be stored in the refrigerator for more than a day and a half. So, prepare to make this on the same day when the guests are coming.
- All you have to do is put oil in the pan on gas as soon as the doorbell rings.
- By the time the guests arrive, sit in the room, meet each other, ask for information and drink water, round chickpea flour pakoras will have come out of the fridge and reached the hot oil.
- In the next five minutes it will be decorated in plates with chutneys and sauces. You will be smiling with pride and the guests will think that you are a magician who can prepare pakoras in the blink of an eye.
