According to Statista's 2021 survey report, around 32% of adults aged 30 to 44 in India suffer from gas, acidity and indigestion. This problem is more common among the elderly and senior citizens. Also, sedentary lifestyle (working sitting in one place all day without physical movement) and bad eating habits are increasing the problem.
Stomach problems like gas formation, acidity and bloating have become so common that every third person suffers from them. This problem increases more in rainy and winter season. Eating fried, spicy, spicy food, staying up late at night, drinking very little water, anger and worry are the main causes of stomach gas.
According to a 2017-18 study published in the National Library of Medicine, 19% of people worldwide suffer from gastrointestinal problems. So today In 'Work News' Let's talk about some home remedies to get rid of stomach gas.
Question: Why does stomach gas occur? Answer: From the time we wake up in the morning to the time we go to sleep at night, we put various things in our stomachs, like garbage in a dustbin. This often causes problems like constipation, gas, flatulence etc. During digestion, hydrogen, carbon dioxide and methane gas are formed in the stomach, which causes gas or acidity. Dietician Dr. Anju Vishwakarma of Bhopal says that low-fat foods and green vegetables, fruits etc. should be included in the diet to get relief from stomach gas. Fried and spicy foods should be avoided. Slow digesting food like chicken-mutton, junk food etc. should also be avoided. Eating foods rich in easily digestible fiber will help them digest easily, cleanse the stomach properly and prevent gas formation.

Question- What are the home remedies to get rid of stomach gas? Answer- Sometimes eating heavy protein and heavy food also causes stomach gas. If there is gas, the stomach does not hurt so much, but if the gas is full and does not come out, there are problems like abdominal pain, cramps, flatulence, etc. In such a situation we can get rid of this gas by adopting some home remedies.
Drink lukewarm water Drink warm water to get rid of gas. This will pass the gas and provide relief. According to a study in the European Journal of Pharmaceutical and Medical Research, drinking lukewarm water regularly and especially in the morning helps the digestive system to function properly. This can provide relief from constipation, gas or any other problem.
Drink warm water with lemon or cumin. Bloating due to gas is common. Sometimes sour belching also occurs. In such a situation, you can add lemon juice to warm water and drink it. Or you can also boil half a teaspoon of cumin seeds in water and drink it. Gas will be relieved.
Eat fennel Fennel has anti-microbial properties, which relieves stomach gas, inflammation, pain and bloating. Consuming this will also give you relief from gas.
eat curd Yogurt is very beneficial for keeping the digestive system healthy. It helps in digestion. Eat curd if you have gas in your stomach. It can also be taken in the form of buttermilk or lassi.
Black pepper and dried ginger Mix 1 teaspoon of black pepper powder and 1 teaspoon of ginger powder in half a glass of water and drink it one hour after eating. Drinking ginger mixed with asafoetida and rock salt also gives relief from gas.
eat bananas Bananas contain iron and potassium. It helps in reducing stomach inflammation and flatulence. It is best to take it with breakfast. According to a study published in ResourceGate, bananas are an easily digestible fruit. It is low in fat and contains many minerals and vitamins. Eating banana is beneficial in stomach diseases, rheumatism, diarrhoea, piles etc.
