Uproar after finding a bundle of notes from under the Congress MP's seat: Singhvi said- 'I am carrying a 500 note, I was in the House for only 3 minutes'

Friday (December 6) is the 9th day of the winter session of Parliament. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar said that a bundle of notes has been found from the seat of Congress MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi. There was an uproar in the house about this. Singhvi says about this, I am going to Parliament with a 500 note.

Chairman Dhankhar said-

After the adjournment of the House yesterday (Thursday), security officials informed us that cash has been recovered from seat number 222. This seat has been allotted to Telangana MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi. The matter should be investigated as per rules and it is being done.

Regarding this, Congress MP and advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi says,

I am also very surprised to hear about this. I've never heard of that. I reached inside the house at 12.57 pm yesterday. From 1 to 1:30 pm, I sat in the canteen with Ayodhya Prasad and left the Parliament at 1:30 pm. So he stayed only 3 minutes in the house and 30 minutes in the canteen. It seems strange to me that politics arises even on such issues. It should be investigated how people go anywhere and put anything on any seat. This means that everyone has a seat that has a key and that MP can take that key home, because anyone can do something like that and be accused of it. It would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic and serious. I think everyone should cooperate to get to the bottom of this and if there is any failure in the security agencies they should also be fully exposed…

Mallikarjun Khadge said, “I request that no member should be named till the investigation is completed and the truth of the incident is established.”

The fashion show they have started outside Parliament by wearing colorful clothes hurts our parliamentary dignity. Opposition parties should not indulge in such misbehaviour. You should listen to the statement of the Railway Minister. One should participate in whatever work is to be done in the house. Making a fuss sends a wrong message to the country. You don't get votes by making a fuss. People love good behavior.
