On Thursday, a meeting regarding the Chief Minister of Maharashtra went on till late night at Home Minister Amit Shah's house. The cabinet department was also discussed in the meeting which lasted for about two and a half hours.
After the meeting, Eknath Shinde said – The meeting was positive. We discussed with Amit Shah and JP Nadda. This was the first meeting. Another meeting of Mahayuti will be held in Mumbai. A decision will be taken regarding the CM.
According to sources, two BJP observers will also go to Mumbai on December 1. He will attend the MLA meeting and announce the name of the Chief Minister. However, BJP is also considering Maratha leaders.
After the meeting, Ajit Pawar and Fadnavis left for Mumbai, while Shinde reached his son Srikanth's house and held a meeting with MPs. He also returned to Mumbai late at night.
Before the meeting of the grand alliance leaders, Shah and Shinde had a private discussion for about half an hour. At the same time, a meeting was also held between Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar before reaching Amit Shah's house.
On reaching Delhi on Thursday, Shinde told the media that Ladlabhai has come to Delhi. He had earlier said that senior BJP leaders will support whatever decision they take.
After the meeting, BJP president JP Nadda left home minister Amit Shah's house.
BJP is also considering Maratha leaders It is believed that caste arithmetic may play a major role in the selection of the CM, as the 288-seat assembly has a large number of MLAs from the Maratha community. Devendra Fadnavis is a Brahmin. In such a situation, the BJP leadership is also considering some Maratha leaders for CM. However, if sources are to be believed, Fadnavis' chances of becoming the CM are high if the RSS increases the pressure.
At the same time, Acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has already clarified that he has told PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah that he will follow the BJP's choice for the post of Chief Minister. Shiv Sena (Shinde) MLA and spokesperson Sanjay Shirsat said, 'The acting CM will not accept the post of Deputy CM in the new government. This does not befit a person who has been the Chief Minister.
Shinde-led Shiv Sena will nominate another leader for the deputy CM post, he said. Shinde's MP son Shrikant Shinde said that my father set an example of 'coalition religion' by putting his personal ambitions aside.
Caste equations can be decisive in the selection of the Chief Minister Maharashtra has 28% Marathas, 12% Dalits and Muslims, 8% tribals. 38% are OBCs. Brahmins and other communities constitute 8% of the population. The entire politics here is based on the Maratha versus non-Maratha political equation. 150 seats in the state are dominated by Marathas and 100 by OBCs.
In the 2019 elections, 160 out of 288 MLAs belonged to the Maratha community. Out of the total 18 chief ministers in the state so far, 10 belong to the Maratha community, including the name of caretaker chief minister Eknath Shinde.

4. We are not an obstacle, the entire Shiv Sena accepts Modiji's decision Shinde said, “I called Modiji-Shahji. I told them that whatever decision you take, we will accept it. Your candidate will be selected in the BJP meeting, that is also acceptable to us. We have no problem in forming the government.” Whatever decision you want to take regarding government formation, there is no hindrance from Shiv Sena and me.
5. Modi-Shah stood together like a rock for two and a half years He said, “We ran the government for two-and-a-half years. Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah gave the responsibility of chief minister to an activist like me. Both stood with us like a mountain for two-and-a-half years. They told me to do the work of the people and we are with you.
6. I am not greedy for position, there is no speed breaker in Maharashtra Eknath Shinde said, “I am not greedy for office. We are not fighting people. We are working people. I have also told the PM and Home Minister that there is no speed breaker in Maharashtra, no one is angry, no one is missing. There is no difference here, it is Maha Vikas.” Aghadi was there, it has been removed.”
MVA can sue Leader of Opposition jointly In the assembly elections, none of the opposition parties got the required number of seats for the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the House. As per the rules, the post is given to the opposition party that wins at least 10% of the assembly seats.
If several parties have secured more than this number of seats, then the opposition party with the highest number of seats is given the seat. Not so this time, so MVA can claim the post of joint LoP. In this regard, a letter will be written to the governor and the coalition will be argued before the election.
Fadnavis can become the Chief Minister once again
BJP won 105 to 132 seats while the vote margin increased by 0.5%
'Look at my water coming down, home on the shore… I am the ocean, I will return to Lautkar'
Devendra Fadnavis recited this poem by Dushyant Kumar in the Maharashtra Assembly on December 1, 2019. After parting ways with the BJP on 28 November 2019, Uddhav Thackeray was sworn in as the Chief Minister with the support of the Congress and the NCP. Fadnavis became CM only because of Uddhav Thackeray.
