Terrorists shot dead two non-Kashmiri people in Mazhama village of Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Both the injured have been admitted to the hospital.
The injured have been identified as Sufiyan and Usman. Both are residents of Saharanpur, UP. He was working in Jal Jeevan Project in Budgam.
This is the second attack on non-Kashmiri people in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 12 days. On October 20, terrorists shot dead 7 people in Gagangir area of Ganderbal district. One of these doctors was identified as Shahnawaz Ahmed.
Earlier on October 16, terrorists shot dead a non-local youth in Shopian.
Terrorists shot Sufiyan in the leg.
Usman was shot in the right hand.
Four more target killings in 2024
22 April: Terrorists opened fire on a house in Rajouri. In which 40-year-old Mohammad Razak was killed. He was a resident of Kunda Tope Shahdara Sharif. This was the third incident of target killing in April.
Razak's brothers are soldiers in the army. 19 years ago, terrorists killed Razak's father Mohammad Akbar in this same village. He was employed in the welfare department. Razak got a job in his father's place.
Mohammad Razak's last rites were performed in Rajouri, which was attended by a large number of people.
April 8: Paramjit Singh, a non-Kashmiri local driver, was shot dead by militants in Padawan of South Kashmir's Shopian district. He was a resident of Delhi. When Paramjit was on his duty, the terrorists attacked him. After carrying out the incident, the terrorists fled from the spot.
April 17: Bihar tourist Shankar Shah was shot dead by terrorists. The assailants shot him in the stomach and neck.
On April 17, terrorists shot dead a migrant from Bihar.
7 February: On 7 February 2024, terrorists shot dead two people from the Sikh community with an AK-47 rifle in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar. The deceased have been identified as Amrit Pal (31) and Rohit Masih (25), both residents of Amritsar. Amrit Pal died on the spot. Rohit died during treatment.

After 370 was removed, TRF activated, killing the target TRF has been declared a terrorist organization in India. Indian officials say the TRF was created by the Pakistani terrorist outfit Lashkar. It has been formed by combining Lashkar and Jaish cadres. This organization is involved in many incidents of killing of Kashmiris, Kashmiri Pandits and Hindus. The TRF has become more active after the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019. The TRF, not the army, claimed responsibility for the attack.
Purpose of TRF Targets Kashmiri Pandits, migrant workers, government officials, leaders and security forces. After the abrogation of 370, it aims to sabotage government schemes and rehabilitation schemes of Kashmiri Pandits and spread instability. It has also targeted local Muslims working in the government or police, whom it considers close to India.
Cause of killing of non-Kashmiris in valley
Intelligence agencies said that the target killing is a new ploy by Pakistan to spread unrest in Kashmir. It is believed to be aimed at sabotaging plans to rehabilitate Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370.
After the abrogation of Article 370, there has been an increase in incidents of target killings in Kashmir, with militants particularly targeting Kashmiri Pandits, migrant workers and even local Muslims working in the government or police, whom they consider a threat to India.
