Swati Maliwal attack accused Bibhav granted bail: Kejriwal's PA can't go to CM office, SC says – AAP leader's injuries normal

The Supreme Court on Monday granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar. Bibhav is accused of assaulting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal. He has been in jail for 100 days. A bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Ujjwal Bhuiyan referred to the 100 days Bibhav spent in jail and said a charge sheet has also been filed in the case. Maliwal's injuries are common. Bail should be granted in this case. In such a case you cannot keep the person in jail. The incident took place when Swati Maliwal came to meet Kejriwal on May 13. After this he had a quarrel with Bibhava Kumar. Coming out, she alleged that Bibhav assaulted her. Bibhav was arrested on May 18 after investigation. Arguments against bail, court comments Assistant Solicitor General SV Raju opposed the bail. He said that first the witnesses who come under Bibhava's influence should be investigated. This is a case of crime against women, CCTV footage may be tampered with. Now he is not bailable. The court said that a charge sheet has been filed in this case. He has been in jail for 100 days. The medical report said that Maliwal's injuries were normal. Bail is granted in such cases. Assistant Solicitor General should not oppose bail. A charge sheet has been filed against Bibhav with 50 witnesses. On July 30, the Swati Maliwal case was heard in Delhi's Tis Hazari Court. A charge sheet was filed in the court. The 500-page charge sheet contains the statements of around 50 witnesses.
