Sixth day of Parliament's winter session: From today, party and opposition will hold meaningful debates in the House, agreeing to avoid ruckus

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla called a meeting of the leaders of all the Houses on Monday afternoon. Leaders of TDP, Congress, DMK, NCP Sharad Group, SP, JDU, RJD, TMC, CPI(M) and Shiv Sena (UBT) attended the meeting.

Today is the sixth day of the winter session of Parliament. Proceedings of the House will proceed normally from today. On the fifth day too, the opposition created an uproar in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha over the Adani and Sambhal issue, due to which Parliament had to be adjourned.

After this, the Lok Sabha Speaker called a meeting of the floor leaders of the party and the opposition. It was decided in the meeting that both the Houses will be functioning properly from December 3 (Tuesday). The opposition leaders presented some demands which have been accepted.

Before the proceedings of the House on Tuesday, the INDIA coalition will hold a meeting on the winter session at 10 am on Tuesday. The meeting will be held in the office of Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge.

Leaders of INDIA alliance met Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday too. Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi also participated in it. However, TMC MPs did not come. Sources associated with the TMC said that they want to discuss issues like unemployment, Manipur, inflation in the House, while the Congress is creating a ruckus only on the Adani issue.

A special screening of the film was held at Balayogi Auditorium of Parliament. Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and many ministers, MPs and actors also arrived to watch the film.

Regarding the meeting with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, TMC leader Kalyan Banerjee said on Monday that in today's meeting we all agreed that the proceedings of the House will continue from now on. The Constitution will be discussed on 13-14… Tomorrow (Tuesday) the Samajwadi Party will be allowed to speak on Sambhal and we will speak on Bangladesh.

The External Affairs Minister and the Finance Minister will also present their views in the House. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar could not speak on the India-China issue in the Lok Sabha on Monday due to the uproar and adjournment of the House. Even Finance Minister Sitharaman could not introduce the Banking Law Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha. Today both these leaders will be given time to present their ideas.

Parliament lasted 75 minutes in 5 days, 5 sittings

On Monday, proceedings could last for only 15 minutes in the Lok Sabha and about 20 minutes in the Rajya Sabha. Earlier, only a total of 40 minutes of action could be taken in both houses in four sittings in four days. That is, only 75 minutes of proceedings took place in both houses in five days.

November 28: Day 3 – Priyanka Gandhi takes oath as MP November 28 was the third day of the session. Priyanka Gandhi reached Parliament for the first time. He took oath as an MP in the Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, he kept a copy of the constitution in his hand. Along with Priyanka, her mother Sonia and Rahul Gandhi also reached Parliament. Priyanka has won the by-election from Wayanad seat. Along with Priyanka, Ravindra Chauhan, who won the by-election from Nanded, also took oath.

December 2: Fifth day – Party-Opposition floor leaders agree on running the house On the fifth day, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla called a meeting of the floor leaders of the party and the opposition as the proceedings of Parliament were marred by uproar for the last four days.
