Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah case hearing today: Hindu party to present its case in Allahabad High Court, mosque committee to respond

The hearing in the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Masjid dispute case of Mathura will be held in the Allahabad High Court today i.e. Monday. The Hindu parties will file their reply in court. The Masjid party sought a hearing on the plea withdrawing the order to hear all the cases together before deciding the issue of cause.

The court sought a response from the temple on the petition of the mosque party. Today the Hindu party can file a reply and argue in court. All 18 civil suits are being heard by a single bench of Justice Mayank Kumar Jain.

The Hindu party says that the pillars of the mosque have lotus-shaped carvings. This shows that this was a temple.

What happened in the previous hearing After more than 3 hours of discussion in the Allahabad High Court, the court fixed the date of next hearing on September 23. Tasnim Ahmadi, senior advocate of the mosque side, presented the case through video conferencing.

The court was requested to order that all the cases in the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi dispute case be heard simultaneously in January 2024. A recall petition was filed against him but could not be heard. The court started hearing on the maintainability of the claim.

Ahmadi requested the court to hear the recall petition first and then proceed with the case. In Case No. 7, an ex-parte hearing was ordered for non-filing of written statement within the prescribed time. The mosque party has filed a recall application in this matter.

The Hindu party claims that 10.9 acres of land is near the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi and 2.5 acres is near the Shahi Idgah Masjid. A total of 13.37 acres of land belongs to 'Shri Krishna'.
