- Villages on the border will be mapped, plain dress patrolling will be done
A three-layer security plan has been prepared by the Indian Army to stop terrorists infiltrating the India-Pakistan border. Recently, as the possibility of infiltration has increased in Jammu and Kashmir and there are continuous terror attacks, the army has prepared a three-tiered strategy.
First Layer: Line of Control The area from Gurez to Uri in Kashmir and from Punj to Akhnoor in Jammu is called the Line of Control. Therefore, physical and technical surveillance along the Line of Control has been enhanced. The army has strengthened operations against infiltration in these places. For this, vehicle fencing, high definition cameras, remotely operated vehicles, drones, night vision devices have been arranged. Along with this, the villages present on the border are being mapped.
Second Layer: Reception Area The reception area is where the infiltrating terrorist meets his overground worker. CRPF deployment has also been increased in this area. Special type of cameras are installed here which are very difficult to see.
Third layer: Hinterland This is a populated area, where infiltrating terrorists hide out with the help of their underground workers. The deployment of plainclothes men has been increased in these areas.
Surveillance is being used here, as earlier terrorists used hotspots of underground workers, now they use paid applications to communicate, whose communication systems are difficult to crack. Door to door surveillance is being done for that now. Also Jammu-Kashmir Police, Army, CRPF and Border Security Force have launched pseudo operation for hiding terrorists.
