Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy raised questions about the Supreme Court's bail granted to BRS leader K Kavita in the Delhi Liquor Policy scam case. While giving the verdict, the court said that the investigation in this case has been completed. The trial is not expected to be completed soon. That Kavita is a woman and should be granted bail under Section 45 of the PMLA. Jagadish sought transfer of the case from Telangana to another state. The court has said that it will appoint a special public prosecutor for the case. Revanth Reddy was arrested on 31 May 2015 by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while paying a bribe of ₹50 lakh to nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to support TDP candidate Vem Narendra Reddy in the Legislative Council elections. Revanth, was then in the Telugu Desam Party. In July 2015, the ACB filed a chargesheet against Reddy and others under the Prevention of Corruption Act and Section 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
