Sambhal's Jama Masjid survey case was heard in the Supreme Court on Friday. The court ordered that the survey report of the mosque should not be opened. The court asked the Chandausi trial court not to take any action in the case till January 8 and said that peace is necessary. Further, the direction was given till the Shahi Idgah Committee goes to the High Court. Till then the matter should not be taken further.
Earlier this case was heard in civil court of Chandausi. On Friday, the court ordered to submit the survey report. However, the report was not submitted. Advocate Commissioner Ramesh Singh Raghav said – On November 24, there was violence during the survey, so the report could not be prepared.
Jama Masjid's lawyer Shakeel Ahmed said – We have asked the court for all the documents related to this case. The survey report has not been released today. There will be no further survey in the mosque. The court will now hold the next hearing in the case on January 8.
Friday marks the sixth day of Sambhal violence. Forces have been deployed across the city in view of Friday. Barricading has been done in sensitive areas. Commissioner Anjaney Kumar Singh said – Everyone will offer namaz in their own mosques. We are keeping an eye on ensuring that outside forces do not enter here.
The state government on Thursday constituted a three-member judicial inquiry commission to probe the violence. The commission formed under the chairmanship of retired Allahabad High Court judge Devendra Kumar Arora will complete the inquiry within two months and submit a report to the government.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind president Maulana Mahmood Madani termed the youths killed in the violence as martyrs and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to their families.

- The Advocate Commissioner survey report of the mosque will be kept in a sealed cover. It will not be opened.
- CJI said – At present we are not going into right and wrong in this matter. The petitioner has the right to challenge the order of the court.
- CJI said- We don't want to say anything now. We will keep it pending, but ensure that peace prevails. We have to remain neutral.
- No further action shall be taken in the case without the permission of the High Court. The trial court did not pass any judgment till January 8.
- The court has directed the Allahabad High Court to hear the petition of the Muslim side within 3 days.
- The Supreme Court has asked the government to maintain peace and order in Sambal. Form a peace committee in both the communities.
After violence broke out in Sambhal, thousands of people took to the roads and vandalized vehicles and set them on fire.
The Supreme Court said- the survey report of Sambhal Masjid should not be opened The Sambhal case was heard in the Supreme Court on Friday. The court said that the survey report of the mosque will not be opened. Apart from this, the trial court i.e. civil court of Chandausi was instructed not to take any action in this case till January 8. Peace is necessary.
In fact, on Thursday, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of Sambhal Masjid. In which three demands were made.
– Execution of lower court orders for survey of mosques should be prohibited. (No further action should be taken based on survey)
– Status quo should be maintained at this place for now. The report of the Survey Commissioner should be kept in a sealed cover.
– The Court should issue instructions that no order for such survey shall be issued in such cases without hearing all the parties. An opportunity to try legal alternatives should be given.
As the representatives of the Hindu party marched towards the mosque for all, people walking alongside them chanted religious slogans.
MP Zia ur Rehman Burke said- When will all this stop, some people are spoiling the atmosphere SP MP Ziaur Rehman Burke said on the controlled violence – SP is demanding that the present judge of the Supreme Court should be included in the inquiry committee. We have approached the Supreme Court to inquire into the matter of the survey (in Sambhal's Shahi Jama Masjid). The case should be closed in the District Court and the case should be heard in the Supreme Court. Places of worship laws should be properly applied. Now an application has been filed at Ajmer Dargah as well. When will this all stop?
The survey team did not present the report today Shakil Ahmed Wasim, lawyer of Shahi Jama Masjid said – We appeared in court on behalf of the mosque. The court asked us to provide documents related to this case. The court ordered to give the papers. The survey report has not been submitted even today. The survey team sought more time for the report. There will be no further survey in the mosque.
Dated 8th January in Survey Report January 8 has been given as a date to submit the survey report after the court hearing. Shakeel advocate on the Muslim side has filled the advocacy form.
This is the Jama Masjid of Sambhal. The Hindu side claims that this is the Harihar temple, which was demolished and converted into a mosque during the reign of the Mughal emperor Babur.

Jamiat Ulema will give Rs 5 lakh each to the families of youths killed in Sambhal A meeting of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind was held in Amroha on Thursday regarding Sambhal violence. In which Chairman Maulana Mahmood Madani declared the youth killed in the violence as martyrs and announced Rs 5 lakh each to their families. Maulana Mahmood Madani said- Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has formed a relief committee and a legislative committee for this.
What is the Sambhal Masjid controversy? The Hindu party has long been claiming that the temple stood on the site of the Jama Masjid in Sambhal. On November 19, 8 people reached the court regarding this matter and filed a petition. Prominent among them are Supreme Court lawyer Harishankar Jain and his son Vishnu Shankar Jain. The two are also looking after Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Mathura, Kashi and restaurant matters.
Apart from this, the petitioners include the names of lawyer Partha Yadav, Mahant Rishiraj Giri of Banana Mandir, Mahant Dinanath, social activist Vedpal Singh, Madanpal, Rakesh Kumar and Jitpal Yadav. The Hindu side claims that the Site was the Sri Harihar temple, which was demolished by Babur in 1529 and converted into a mosque.
The Hindu party filed a petition in the Sambhal court. In the 95-page petition, the Hindu party has relied on two books and a report. It includes the Babarnama, the In-e-Akbari book and a 150-year-old report by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
CO Anuj Chaudhary was shot in the right leg during the violence.
