Post storm situation in Odisha's Bhadrak.
Cyclone 'Dana' has moved over both the states of Odisha and West Bengal without causing any major damage. Due to the timely relief operations, there were no casualties in Odisha, while one person died in West Bengal. About 6 lakh people were evacuated from the coastal areas of the two states due to the storm.
Air traffic was resumed in both the states from 8 am to 9 am on Friday and rail traffic was resumed till 10 am. The cyclone struck between Odisha's Bhitarkanika and Bhadrak district's Dhamra at 12:05 pm on Thursday with a speed of 110 kmph. Its effect remained till 8.30 am on Friday. The Meteorological Department said that after this the speed of the storm had reduced to 10 km per hour. It will now weaken into a deep depression over north coastal Odisha.
