Tribal organizations protested after a case of rape and attempted murder of a 45-year-old tribal woman in Jainur in Kumuram Bhim Asifabad district of Telangana. Seeing the worsening situation, the administration has shut down the internet in the area and increased the deployment of police personnel. By Wednesday evening, the Rapid Action Force was called in and a curfew was imposed in the area.
