Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteswarananda reached Ayodhya on September 22. Cow Respect Movement started. Circumnavigated Ramkot. He then installed a cow flag at the Charushila temple in Jankighat, but did not visit Ramlalla.

He said – We have taken a pledge that we will not visit the Ram temple till the construction is completed. A temple which does not have a peak is not considered a temple. The construction of the temple is not yet complete. The first thing to do before going to the temple is to see the flag. Currently the flag is not available for viewing. Kalash is not available for darshan. What will we see after going there? Those who are having darshan are the devotees, we are the responsible person.
